Kolmer brought in an experienced colleague in 2015 in the person of Adrie Kolmer. After a great career in project and quality management, at Frans Maas and Atos among others, he now contributes to Kolmer’s growth in all areas. Adrie has a multi-faceted job in which he deals with, among other things, process description, assurance of the ISO 9001 management system and quality issues. He compiles reports and tries to improve operations where possible. “I give Martijn solicited and unsolicited advice about everything I come across. Kolmer is a very operational organisation and I like to oversee and improve things from a helicopter view. It’s great that I’m given the space for that. If an improvement takes root and grows into “its own” , I’m satisfied.”
Adrie’s analytical abilities are his strength. He watches, listens and assesses. Where are we now and where do we want to go? How can we get there? He’s a people person and a person of feeling, he understands what drives people and isn’t easily thrown off balance. “At Kolmer, I work within a very social group of people. It doesn’t matter who you are or what your background or education is. As soon as you’re part of the team you work towards a common goal.” Adrie lives in Tiel with his wife and their recomposed family. “One of our five children still lives at home and we see the others quite regularly. I play and build guitars, read, write and am always studying something. My mind is always active and constantly asks for new information. My ambition for Kolmer is that, together with my colleagues, I want to be part of a solution and not a problem. I have a lot of energy to make this beautiful organisation even more beautiful.”
