Marc worked as a bricklayer for twenty years. At the age of 36, a cerebral infarction messed up his life. Unfortunately, he couldn’t do his job anymore and Marc was declared unfit for work. Continuing to work, however, is still very important to him. So he has been working two mornings a week in the workshop at Kolmer since 2013. “I greatly enjoy ensuring that motors from our paint shop are packed well. In addition, I provide regular support in tinkering. The atmosphere at Kolmer is very good and I am grateful that I can do this work. For me this job is very valuable, you might even say of vital importance.”
Marc is a go-getter who does his work with attention and likes to deliver a good end result. He’s friendly and is appreciated by his colleagues for his enthusiasm and cheerfulness. He is a warm person, brings a lot of positivity and always pays attention to everyone else. Marc lives in Ermelo with his girlfriend and their pets. He loves to cycle and also likes to walk the dog. Motorcycling is his passion and Marc still enjoys it a lot despite the limitations. “I’m proud of how far I’ve come. I arrived here to keep the workshop tidy, but I barely did. With the help of my colleagues I can now really contribute to the beautiful products of Kolmer and that makes me feel very good. This job brings me fun, structure and the feeling of being part of something again. At Kolmer I’m accepted as I am and that means a lot to me.”
