From mechanic to department manager and eventually service manager: Theo started his career at Philips. In 1998, he made the move to Kolmer. It was quite a culture shock, going from fifteen hundred colleagues to just fifteen. Today, he is a highly valued member of the Kolmer family.
Theo is a true people manager who believes that enjoying your work is essential.
“We have a great team. We work hard, but there’s also a lot of laughter. My main goal is for everyone to enjoy their work and for everything to run smoothly from a business perspective. Taking care of the entire Kolmer family, the building, and solving complex customer issues — that’s what I really enjoy. The Kolmer building almost feels like my own place. I feel responsible for it.”
No two workdays are the same for Theo. One phone call from a customer can completely change the planning. Theo is a project manager through and through, whether it’s a small renovation in the workshop, maintenance of the machinery, or overseeing the complete construction of our new building in 2023.
Theo is the oil that keeps Kolmer running smoothly. A colleague who is always there for others. He lives in Hilversum with his wife. Together they have two sons, one of whom truly feels like part of the Kolmer family — everyone likes him.
In his free time, Theo enjoys working on DIY projects in and around the house. He loves tinkering with his classic car and old motorcycle and occasionally taking them out for a ride.
