At the beginning of this month, our colleagues Lucas and Marcin received their turning and milling certificates. They underwent an internal theoretical and practical training under the enthusiastic guidance of our in-house instructor, Gert-Jan Evertse from Landstede Groei Opleidingen.
In 12 afternoons, the men learned all the fine details of the trade, both in theory and practice. The theoretical lessons covered topics such as reading drawings, measuring, materials science, and machine maintenance.
During the practical lessons, they practiced longitudinal turning, facing, drilling, and thread cutting. Additionally, they learned about face milling, angle milling, and keyway milling.
The lessons concluded with a project that they both completed using their acquired knowledge and personal insights. It was clear to see their qualities at this point. One works functionally and quickly, while the other thinks about further application possibilities and takes a bit more time for that.
Our tasks range from quick custom deliveries to requests for collaborative thinking. These two perfectly complement these needs. Together with our other specialists, they form a great team.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭: Lucas started with: "It was a fun course, lots of personal attention, customized, and well-organized." Marcin nodded in agreement and added with a big smile: "Almost a private course!"
Plans are already being made for a follow-up course because we believe it's important to keep developing. It makes you proud of what you've achieved and brings joy to your work. Landstede Groei Opleidingen perfectly aligns with this with their on-site technical training.
